The normal frame size is the measurement from the top of the
seat tube (where the saddle pin fits into the frame) down to the
centre of the bottom bracket axle (the axle which carries the pedal
cranks). With the correct frame size you should be able to sit on
the saddle and just touch the ground on either side, but you must
be able to reach the handlebars comfortably. It is sometimes worth
considering a smaller frame with the saddle slightly raised in
order to obtain a more comfortable reach.

These bikes are designed for speed, and have lightweight frames
and components with minimal accessories, dropped handlebars to
allow for an aerodynamic riding position, narrow high-pressure
tyres for minimal rolling resistance and multiple gears. Racing
bikes typically have 18, 20, 27 or 30 gears. Within this category
of bikes are racing, touring and sport bikes.

These bikes are rugged. Built with a sturdy frame, straight or
riser handlebars and fat, knobby tyres, it can tackle the rigors of
off road riding. Nearly all mountain bicycles feature various types
of suspension systems (e.g. coiled spring, air or gas shock), and
hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes. The upright riding position on
the bike makes it comfortable while giving you leverage for steep
inclines and fast descents. Within this category of bikes are Cross
Country, All Mountain, Downhill and Freeride.

This bike is a cross between the road bike and mountain bike.
It's lighter than a mountain bike, but not as fast as a road bike.
Straight handlebars, medium-width tyres, 21 gears or more, and an
upright riding position makes the bike perfect for short distances,
running errands or commuting to and from work.

Riding a bicycle is one of the joys of childhood. Not only is it
fun, it has great health benefits. These bikes are measured by
their wheel size, ranging from 12" to 24". A word of warning. Do
not buy a childs bike which has plastic wheels with solid tyres,
these are classed as toys and will probably fall apart after a
short period of time. We only stock good quality childrens bikes
which are fully repairable.
